Artwork Description:
This painting was based on the photograph taken by the artist in his Bensonhurst Brooklyn neighborhood. The area historically was colonised by Dutch settlers and all properties of their architecture remained. Only modern cars give us a note that this is today's landscape, otherwise, it is quite a Vermeer-like historical scene.
