Artwork Description:
This painting was based on a photograph taken by the artist in his Bensonhurst, Brooklyn neighborhood. Dutch settlers colonised this area, and all of their architectural properties remain. Only modern cars give us a note that this is today's landscape; otherwise, it is quite a Vermeer-like historical scene.
