Thirst Uniting Us is a portrait of a woman with a kettle pouring water into the glass and preparing some meal out of fruits and other food. The woman is obviously a higher-class well-looking person in the lucrative dark interior. The painting was invented by the artist upon his culinary interests, which lasted for about one year, when the artist, surprised by digestive issues, was obliged to look more seriously at his daily meals and cooking. The composition is dominated by raw umber and white, yellow, and orange just a few colorful accents lighting up the darkness of this figurative scene.
