The Red Room 2 is a relatively small painting featuring the red gallery of the Metropolitan Museum devoted to the art of the Italian Renaissance. The composition includes a crowd of visitors, part of whom are conversing in the center of the painting, and another part is looking at museum offerings. This work too slightly reminds us of Johannes Vermeer's tradition of figurative scenes in a lucrative, filled with historical art interiors.
