Artwork Description:
The Mechanism is a photorealist painting of the motorcycle engine, based on an image the artist took in his Bensonhurst neighborhood. His practice of geometric abstraction informs the composition and permits a huge dark field of black space below a highly detailed image of Harley-Davidson's engine. This black and yellow prevail in this composition, sparked by the nearly invisible silver-white strokes on the engine's multiple details.
