Artwork Description:
The Mechanism is a photorealist painting of the motorcycle engine, based on the image taken by the artist in his Bensonhurst neighborhood. The composition is informed by his practice of geometric abstraction and permits a huge dark field of black space below a highly detailed image of Harley-Davidson's engine. This black and yellow prevail in this composition sparked by the nearly invisible strokes of silver-white on the multiple details of the engine.
