Blue Armageddon conjures a surreal vision: a monstrous, infernal horse charges toward the viewer, while a man in the foreground brandishes a giant revolver. Predatory birds circle above, and the canvas becomes a battlefield between animal and human, the latter fused with his weapon in a desperate act of self-preservation. A Venetian palazzo burns in the distance, rocks shelter the armed figure, and the entire scene echoes the fantastical drama of Salvador Dali’s The Temptation of Saint Anthony.
